I learned a few moves from a friend in the cabin this weekend. Not a proper class, but so much fun!

astroballerina is totally stoked about Advent.
I did it. And it was great. The class began tonight—it was bold and dazzling and such fun! I’m pretty sure that ALL of my muscles will hurt tomorrow morning. But I had fun. :)

I’ve decided to try African Dance!
There’s a class that begins in September. I can’t wait.

It would be such fun to dance again!
I tried it for a laugh a few months ago and was surprised at how much I liked it. It works all of your body out, makes you break a good sweat too with out your realising it!’Cause you dance and wiggle about, my bottom is firmer and I’ve toned up my arms and waist too.
I’ve been doing it twice a week, almost every week ever since and I totally recommend it.
Classes are in London and there is a DVD available too http://www.danceafreak.com
I went to see a West African dance performance the other day. I feel like that’s at least a baby step closer. And maybe one of these days I’ll actually have enough money to sign up for my own class.
wow.. i did go to the workshop at oakland’s malonga dance studio. And it was truly beautiful. Afro peruvian, afro cuban. I must say i couldn’t barely follow due to the fact that i look so bad doing it. But… the music and the beats and movements were truly truly beautiful.
well at least i think that’s how it’s spelt.. coincidentally… this sunday, the above dance studio is having a whole day african dance day for only a $5 fee. Perfect timing? fingers crossed i get my butt out of bed to go.
