I'm first going for my A+ certification and going from there. I really just want to start a small business fixing folks computers and doing some small business stuff. Am I on the right track? 7 years ago
I can tell you that having your MCSE, in a lot of cases, will HURT you more than it’ll help. Unfortunately, there are so many MCSEs out there who know only what is required to pass the exams that anyone holding the cert will be associated with their level of incompetence.
You’re better off just building your resume without it. If you still feel like you should have the certification, don’t put it at the top of your resume. Instead, put it at the bottom, so as not to make it look like you’re presenting it as your primary qualification. 8 years ago
