How I did it: Hard work. Slacking off. Laughter. Tears. College is a growing and learning experience. There are times you bust your butt just to prove to *yourself* what you can do. And that's important. Then there are times that you sacrafice an A on the quiz for a C because you know you will never have a chance to mud wrestle on the softball field on a Saturday afternoon with your friends ever again. How I did it: There were times that I wanted to drop out and quit, but I knew that 4 yeas in school were going to be a blip in the other (approximately) 60 years of my life. There was a lot of encouragement from my mom during phone calls and weekend visits. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Brandon studied hard and hardly ever missed classes! What a good student! A REALLY GOOD STUDENT! HE WAS AWESOME! He motivates me to be that AWESOME! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I remember my counselor telling me to just apply to state schools because she didn't think I could get accepted to a UC as a bio major. I really hate it when people tell me that I can't do something. So this just made me work harder so I can get the grades. All the schools I applied to were all UCs because I didn't want to take the easy way out. I admit when I applied to UC Davis as bio major I didn't think I had a chance getting ac… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Lots of work, but not always for classes. I will have to explain further another time. Also, it's not easy all the time, or for everyone. This is one of those things you can do for others, but should really do for yourself if it interests/benefits you. Read how I did it…

violentwife is going to be alright.
But I’m seriously considering a career change. If I decide against EDUC then I’m causing myself a major setback but I’d rather do something I’m happy with in the end.
stay tuned for progress.
I start college for the first time in fall. I have no idea what I want my major to be and I don’t know if I’m acutally going to get the scholarship i signed up for.
I’m hoping for the best and jumping in head first.
Ever since i set on my grandfathers lap as a boy, he would tell me how smart of a kid I was. He would encourage me to read more and to follow my dreams; every chance he got. He would tell me to stay away from drugs and from people who might try and talk me into doing things that weren’t good for me.
College has always been a challenge for me, I know it’s supposed to be for most people but I seem to struggle more than others. The only person that can fix/change/accomplish this is me and it is my top current goal to date.
Jain2009 is studying... Seriously!!
It does not matter if you graduate from an IVy league, a tier1, tier 2 or a community college.
If you have set your heart into it, and you really want it you can do it.
It took me forever to graduate from college.
Firstly I was not sure what major i wanted to pursue.
I took Architecture and hated it. So I had to change my major.
GPA was all messed up. Went through a very terrible and crazy break-up. Was low on financial resources.
Basically everything went wrong.
But I put my heart and soul into it. The only thing I wanted to do is to graduate from College.
And I did it.
I studied endless nights, and finally graduated.
Tips-
Study in groups, if you can.
Do Not study at Home.
Get in the habit of studying in a library.
Get help if you need it early enough.
check on your adviser- if I was wise enough to change my adviser early enough, my graduating GPA would be at least .5 higher.
Okay, so spring semester didn’t go so well. two D’s. I’ll have to buckle down and work harder from here on in so as to avoid repeating that.
I just need a few more courses to get my AA but they’re all math i saved them for last because I know I’m absolutely terrible at it
This is one time that I feel no shame in patting myself on the back. I DID IT! I know that a lot of people graduate college, and maybe it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it sure feels like a big deal!
Let me recap on why I’m so great (I told you, I’m shameless):
1. I beat the odds.
2. I barely passed high school, so, a)school is not my thing, and, b)I had to jump through a lot of hoops to even get accepted into college.
3. I worked all through college, and paid for college myself.
4. I graduated with a really high GPA, even though I have never been naturally inclined to do well in school, b/c I was determined.
5. My Mom died right before my last academic year of school, and I did not drop out. The old me would have thrown in the towel, and truthfully, I think that would have been justified. But, I stayed enrolled full time, and I barreled through.
6. I am a bad ass.
