I don’t know. I don’t know.
I’m a complete introvert. I write. I sing in my bedroom. I read and watch movies. I (God help me) philosophize.
But I’ve always, always wanted to be graceful. In something. I’m probably the most awkward, lumbering person on the planet – and after so many years spent cultivating my brain, I’d like, for once, to see what my body can do.
I’m willing to spend time on this, because it’s completely new and exciting to me. I need a change; my body is begging me for one.
I’m not saying I want to compete in the 2012 Olympics, but if I can get an axel out of this, well, I’d say that’s an accomplishment. Also, as a recent transplant to New England, I think doing a winter sport would be a good way to finally get me accustomed to the climate.
