attend the labyrinth masquerade

I didn’t even know about this until 36 hours before the Friday of it. but I had enough time to sew (well, to sucker my Mom into helping me) a floor-length formal skirt to pair with my corset, and I spent hours working on my mask. Amazingly, the only costume fatigue I suffered was my fake eyelashes, and the entire thing was amazing!

I fully intend to go next year as well, and hopefully attend both nights.

I’m going to try to go next year, but the whole trip would be pretty expensive. It looks really exciting, though—I love balls so much, but right now I have to stick to the local ones.

i’m still amazed that i haven’t been to this yet. i mean, it’s a masquerade ball based on ‘labyrinth,’ one of my favourite movies of all time! i’d like to blame it on the fact that, like the faerieworlds festival, it’s on the other side of the country. but one year i’ll go. i’ll dress up to the nines and i’ll go!
