Complete the Body for Life challenge 4 months ago

After many years of diet and exercise regimens, with varying degrees of success, I have committed myself to the Body for Life challenge. Lasting 84 days, I will eat 6 balanced meals per day and train 6 days per week, alternating weight training and cardio.

So far, I have finished week two and although the scale doesn’t show much progress, I have lost 20 centimeters from all over my body. I feel slimmer, more energetic and healthier.

I did it!!! Finished Week 12. I’ve lost around 15 pounds and more than 3.5 inches from my waist. I feel great and I look great. I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since my early 20s.

It was tough, too. There were many times I wanted to quit, but I stuck it out. I did not miss a workout although I did mess up several meals throughout. That didn’t matter, though, since my lifestyle as a whole was healthful. A few times, I replaced a day at the gym with a full calisthenics routine. The key, I found, was to never miss a workout.

I was not very fat at the beginning but I was out of shape. My body was doughy and soft. Now, I have a muscular shape. It feels fantastic.

I think the most important thing is that the program instilled in me certain healthy habits. I intend to continue exercising while following a healthy diet.

Absolutely worth it!!! Thanks Bill Phillips.

Finshed week 11 and started week 12. Only a few days left!!!

I’ve surprised myself by sticking with it this long. Though my weight and measurements have levelled off the last few weeks, I noticed that I my physique is still being transformed. The definition in my muscles makes them look larger than they are. I am stronger, fitter, healthier.

Finished Week 9. I am very happy with my progress. I see the transformation taking shape. Three weeks left!

Finished Week 8. More energy. Thinner. I’ll work harder in the weight room to pack on muscle. Two months down, one to go!!!

Finished Week 7. My waist size and weight are the same as last week. I am so much more active than I was a few weeks ago. I’m more energetic and athletic. My body is geting harder and my skin is tightening.

The first five weeks provided the most dramatic gains. Everything I’ve read says that there will be more dramatic improvements in the final weeks, so I will continue. Only 5 weeks left!!!

The increased energy, alone, is enough to make this program worth it. I have increase my fitness to the best levels in at least 5 years.

Completed Week 6, which is half of the program. I had difficulty getting to the gym for two of my workouts but I improvised by doing them at home.

Over the last six weeks, I’ve lost over 12 pounds and 3 inches from my waist. I see muscles I haven’t seen since college. I feel more energetic—I’m able to participate in more physical activities. I have a harder body than I had when I began.

I’m not where I want to be, but I can easily see my progress. I know that if I continue the program, I will be where I want to be.

I plan on taking these next six weeks even more seriously than the last six. I want to lose about 10 more pounds and 2-4 inches from my waist.

Finished Week 5. I slipped on the diet a bit, mainly because I didn’t make sure to have the right foods available. I got back on track the last couple of days. Although my measurements are the same as last week, I see more muscle definition.

I will focus more on muscle mass and ab work.
