My father was born in Ireland so this is actually very easy for me… just fill out a form, write a cheque and put on a stamp.
So, when I have money to write said cheque (and buy stamps…) this will happen pretty quickly.

I’ve been more interested in this goal, especially with everything that is happening in the economy here in the US, but I know that it will take a while. Did some more research and found there’s still some more I need to do before I can apply.
I figure I’ll get my teaching credential here and probably my masters as well – and then apply. I’ll be going to Seattle again soon to visit family. I’m hoping to make a trip across to Canada as well, just to see what it is like.

I have decided to work on this goal sooner than expected, just because I have some money coming in so I’ll be able to pay the app. fee. I’m very excited! Went to get my pictures done for my passport the other day and turned everything in. I tell my family all the time about it, but I think they don’t believe I will follow through with it. I don’t plan on moving up there right away – maybe after everything is done I could live there for the summers. That sounds fun. When I think of Canada, I think of the place that I will finally settle in. Maybe when I’m older and I’m ready to buy a house.

I’ve already researched applying for dual citizenship – but I know it will take some time. I will probably wait till after I finish my credential program and by then I should be able to afford it.
I would really love to settle down in Canada when I get older. It seems so much more peaceful there.
Adam Reid is trying to get my debt in order
I’ve always wanted to live in another country but probably won’t until i retire, but when i do i’d love to become a citizen of another country. Don’t get we wrong, Canada’s great but i just think it’d be cool to have another nationality.
Hi I am a 29 year old man living in canada and have been my whole life, my father came here in 72 and i was born in 78, i would like to know if it is possible for myself to obtain a dual citezenship (british/canadian)? and if so what steps must be taken?
I am trying to decide whether to get a canadian citizenship or a UK citizenship. if i become a UK citizen does that mean i can go to school in canada?
back to TO in October. Not taking any chances this time. Shall sit at the photo studio signing pics like some little old lady scratching off lotto tickets at the kiosk until I get a “winner”.
I was born in Canada and am 26 years old. My mom is an American Citizen who grew up in LA but now lives in Canada. She hasn’t given up her American status. Do I qualify for dual citizenship? How do I go about this?
Admittedly, my parents really did this for me when I was younger—but its amazing how much more opportunity it offers you.
