I decided to make Giada’s Classic Italian Lasagna. Next step, shopping.

I hate making it . . . but I love eating it. :)
That’s the first time I’ve made lasagna in over ten years. And the very first time I made the sauce from scratch! It was just right. And it was a pleasure to make…I listened to good music and sipped a nice pinot noir while I made it. And I ate it with a simple spinach and carrot salad.
Now, I have lasagna for lunch for days. What a travesty!
I’ve been wanting to do this for months. I want a big pan of homemade lasagna in my kitchen. I want to spend an afternoon making it. I want to drink to a good red wine with it. And have a simple salad in the side. I want to do this soon.
I finally made lasagna! I still can’t believe I’d never made it before now, considering I’ve made much more complicated things, and I love lasagna. Just never got around to it, I guess, like so many other things. Anyway, did it, shared it, loved it, and now I have lots of tasty leftovers! Woohoo! I will be making this again.
I can’t believe I’ve done so much cooking and still have yet to make lasagna. It’s embarrassing. What an oversight. But that’s why it’s on the list.
