Since I’m always reading, it’s natural to want to join a book club. I really want to find one that focuses on the classics.

...if I find a book club I actually enjoy. My reading preferences are too random to work well with a book club. I think I may try starting my own club with friends eventually.
It just rocks. There are about ten of us regulars and another five or six hangers-on. We’ve read some of the most fascinating things, and we don’t restrict ourselves to any one set list. Rather, I troll book sites and reviews for things that I think will either interest us or be fun. We have some misses but we’ve also had a ton of great reads, too.
I joined a book club with some of the mums and staff from my childrens school. We meet once a month (usually) and through this I’ve read some books that would not normally appeal to me.
... seeing as I haven’t been able to finish any of my books. And the last one I want to read is the one for book club. I think I have trouble following the recommendations of large groups of people. I tend to avoid best sellers, too.
But I haven’t actually participated—as in, share my thoughts about the book we’re reading. The problem is that I’m reading too many other books at the same time, and I haven’t gotten as far along in our current reading (“The Pact”) as I should. I’m also not a big fan of fictional love stories… Maybe next month’s reading will be more inspiring.
