pierce my lip

i wanna get my lip pierce on my top lip but i wanna know where at

I actually tried to repierce it about a month ago. I used a 14g needle and after plenty of pushing and shoving (more so than I should have done) I hit a vein, my lip bled like a bitch, swelled up to the size of the earth and I had to give up :(

But after letting the scab heal back to a scar, about a month later I decided to do it again. This time I used a smaller 18g needle. It was very painful going through the scar tissue. It was NOT in-and-out-over-in-aminute, I spent a good hour and a half gradually pushing through each layer of skin, adjusting the angle to be positive I would not hit a vein once more. This was my main concern. It DID hurt like a bitch but I wasnt concerned about the pain, I was high on adrenalin and all I wanted was to get it through safely.

Eventually after much frustration where the needle would not go any further despite the amount of strength I was using, I got it through the other side clearly. I left it there twisting for about 5 minutes and attempted to quickly insert the labret bar.

This didnt go as smoothly as planned due to the amount of blood, and I wasnt able to get the labret through. I had no choice but to repierce it with the needle. I struggled to get the right angle but eventually got it through. This time I was much quicker and managed to get the labret bar half way through, before struggling for a further 15 minutes (and repiercing the outside) to get the end in. It wasnt so much hard, it was difficult to find the right angle, and with my lip being so swollen.

Alas I got the bar through and screwed on the end.

That was yesterday and my lip is still very swollen but seems ok. Theres been some blood around the outside but i’ve been cleaning with salt water solution to help this.

I feel the bar I used is a bit too small currently to accomodate for the swelling, the ball-end is causing a slight indent, and its probably a bit too tight, but I’ve ordered a longer bar to switch to as soon as I’m able

I will be stretching my lip up to 16g when its fully healed, as 18g is too thin for my liking and difficult to get jewelery for, but I have my piercing back and thats all that matters :)

Well I had my lip pierced on the right hand side for about 6 months, had many problems with it due to stupid school, but kept with it in knowing that once school was over I could wear it feely without having to fuss around with clear retainers and worry about it closing up when I had to take it out whilst eating.

Unfortunately, I took it out very briefly to change the jewelery one night and got sidetracked, and fell asleep without any jewelery. When I woke up it had completely closed up past hope and left a big ugly lump on the inside

That was about a month ago. The scar is coverable with concealer but I’m not too bothered. Mine has healed like a small discoloured spot atm, slightly raised skin, unlike other peoples lip piercing scars I’ve seen where they have an indent like a needle prick. Oh well, time will tell

Anyway I will get it redone eventually because I miss it and it closed up unintetntionally.

I finish school in May so I’m more likely to wait until the end of it and get it redone for college, but I’m not sure atm

i tried to pierce my lip with a saftey pin but sadly it didnt work. it better to have someone else do it so you dont get nervous. im just going to wait till im 16 to get it done next october 2nd :D

I’m deciding on my next piercing. Unfortunately, my boyfriend hates piercings and I don’t want it to break up our two year relationship…It’s not worth it. Also, my mom would probably hate it and she pays for college.

I’m playing with this idea, but I want it to be a tiny tiny stud and obviously, thats not the case when you first get it done.

Can any one offer any advice? I’ve included a recent picture of me from halloween.
I’ll probably just get my cartilage redone.

i am getting this done in a wk i had to go get a tetanus shot and the doctor said to wait a week after u get your tetanus shot to get your lip pierced so i am very sad bcuz i wuz ready to get it but id rather wait a week then get tetanus lol?>>>>

I got my lip pierced many moons ago. My Mum cried when I got home and she saw it so I felt sorry for her and took it out! Lifespan – about 4 hours. Shame though as the placement was absolutely fantastic. I’ve been living away from home for about 5 years now and I still can’t bring myself to get it done again!
