is too personal and too much of a burden to write down every little thing i eat every single day. i’ve lost 10 lbs and i am doing good. my new goal is just to stay on the f*ing diet for a year so i can actually set out to do what i want to do. count calories, pay attention, exercise. not log every item into a book. that’s too daunting. i don’t know what i ever considered it in the first place.

I hate the prevelance of weight loss goals on 43things, but I feel like it bespeaks a pretty common problem that really needs addressing.
My doctor, with my encouragement, placed me on a 1500 calorie a day diet on Jan 5th. The goal is to lose 30 lbs by the next appointment in Jan 2007.
I have to keep motivated about this. I have been pretty good about counting calories and only cheating occassionally (mostly with beer, go figure). I have also been to the gym more than I went since the wedding. When I weighed myself last, I was down 11 lbs which is a very good start (right now I am PMSing though, so I look and feel very bloated, yeay womanhood).
So, here is the DAMNED weight loss goal for me. Yeay yeay yeay. I own much of this to a blog I just read in its entirety and a new 43things contact. I’ll post her name/the blog only with permission though. It was very moving.
