read it and learn

Hmmmm…What can I say. I did’t like it. It didn’t catch my interest, and I barely learned anything new. Most of what was stated i already knew or theorized myself. I think I’m going to stick to the History Channel. Reading this was a waste of my time.
and not really liking the book. I think I just prefer to watch history than read it. I struggled through history in school (even though I did get A’s) and know most of what Zinn is talking about.
It’s just not catching my interest, nor stating anything new to me.
You owe it to yourself to read Zinn’s best work! They don’t teach you this stuff in school, that’s for sure.
Yesterday in the mail, I got my book! I can’t wait to finish some other books in my to-be-read pile!
Eleanor's Trousers is starting 101 in 1001 days on 08/06/08
and decided to give it another shot. It’s dense reading, but interesting. I’m hoping to get past the native American section this time… last time, I got a little bogged down and gave up too easily.
I finally got the book from paperbackswap.com!!!! It’s on it’s way and I can’t wait to get it to start reading it! As of today 30 out of 30 people say it’s worth it! I sure hope it is!
I was going to pack A People’s History for my business trip, so I’d have something to read on the plane—but I can’t find it. Thing is, even if I do find it and bring it along, I’ll likely just end up reading People or, worse yet, Us Weekly. What is it about flying and trashy entertainment magazines that just seem to go together? Anyway, if I do find the book, I will bring it along, and I will read it instead of the magazines. (I still get to read Cosmo, though.)
I love this book. The only problems result when it gets slightly wordy, but I can deal with that. Love it, can’t wait to get through it.
