So, I am ready to do this, my haircolour has faded to a weird pinkish orange now and it is time to re-dye. There’s only one problem; my scalp is irritated. I went to the doctor, because it itches like hell and she gave me something which didn’t work :S. Now I have another medicine and I hope this will work. If not, I have to see the dermatologist :S. So, it seems best not to colour my hair for a while, at least until my scalp heals. It’s quite a bummer, because I was looking forward to turquoise hair. I will do it eventualy, but it may very well have to wait for a while :(.

My hair is turquoise again! n__n And I’m proud that I dyed it all by myself and it turned out very good.
I think my hair’s a bit darker and bluer than the first time round, maybe. I really really like it.

Today, I also had the most fun food store experience in a long time. I’ve been pretty annoyed by people’s stares and looks (that are sometimes quite offensive) lately but not today, thanks to a little girl!
I noticed that someone was talking about blue hair at the shop and then I saw a girl talking to her mother. At first I didn’t hear exactly what she said and was worried that she’ll say something negative but when I started to listen, I was very positively surprised.
She said: “Mommy, I think blue hair is just so pretty. Like that girl over there, she has such beautiful blue hair! Don’t you think, mommy! I really like blue hair” and so on. I just had to smile at her. :]
And then I went round a corner and suddenly that girl was standing in front of me. She looked at me and said: “You have very pretty hair.” I felt so grateful to her, she was so sweet. I thanked her and said that it was nice to hear that. Then we had a nice little chat about her baby doll, hehe. (I find it difficult to talk to children I don’t know, but I thought it went pretty well.)
I smiled the whole walk back home from the shop. :)

shall I dye my hair turquoise? First I was pretty sure that I wanted to go pink again after the yellow, but since the yellow stays in for so long putting pink over it will definately result in some sort of orange (it already is orange toned pink). I don’t want to bleach the yellow out (only my roots needs a touchup, because my natural haircolour is showing). Now I’m thinking maybe I should dye it turquoise first? Yellow wouldn’t really matter on turquoise I think, maybe it’ll turn out a little greener, but I don’t mind that. Can’t decide yet :S. I just don’t know what to do, well first I need to get my roots bleached anyway, so I have some time left to make the decission ;).

I’m not sure if I can even say that I have turquoise hair anymore. :,D I had it, but now it’s sort of gone already, eh.
I’ve washed my hair three times (I think) and every time I’ve washed my hair the shampoo and the water have turned all blue. So all the blueness has pretty much come off my hair now and there’s just green left. It doesn’t bother me, I love my green hair (again, hehe) but I am a little disappointed that it didn’t last longer.
I’ll try it again, though! I liked the turquoise so much that this certainly will not be my last experiment with it, no no. n__n

Picture’s from last Thursday when my hair still looked a bit turquoise.

Turquoise it is then! 14 months ago

A bit yellowish base + Turquoise + Lagoon Blue = (a bit more greenish) turquoise

Yep, I’m loving the colour! ♥ n___n And enjoying it very much, too. However, I will still try to get my hair a bit more blue at some point, just because I’m curious to see how it would look like on me. ;]

The dyes are in, the dyes are in! 15 months ago

Woohoo, the dyes finally arrived today. I ordered a whole bunch of them on the internet. I have ordered Manic Panic’s Atomic Turquoise for this goal. First I’ll give yellow another try and after that… turquoise? I have so many dyes now it is hard to decide which I want after yellow. I also have pinks, greens and regular blue’s. We’ll see what’s next ;)

    I guess... 16 months ago

I guess this was “worth doing” if not just to keep me from wondering any more, but I am not totally happy with the color of my hair.

First of all, I was just doing streaks, but it got in my bangs, and now the front half of my head, but not the back half, is green. It kind of just looks weird, and it’s not the bright, pretty blue-green that it looked like in the package.

Next time I do something like this, I’m having my sister’s boyfriend do it for me. (He does hair)

On a whim 16 months ago

I bought some turquoise dye the other day. I have put temperary colors in my hair before, that could be washed right out, but I have never actually dyed my hair an unnatural color. First I was too shy, then I worked in retail for years, and was not allowed in the worlplace.

Now I feel like maybe I’m too old, at 27, to be running aruond with turquoise hair. But, whatever. I have the dye. I’m thinking of doing stripes. I should do it before my sisters come to visit in a couple weeks, so I can surprise them.
