I want to write that drugs are for losers. But there are lots of people whom I respect that have made psychedelics a part of their life.
Let’s just say that my goal of having more cash is in conflict with the goal of getting loaded and expanding your mind through chemicals. Expensive chemicals.
It also runs contrary to the consumption of Alcohol, or any other intoxicant.

I think you can go your entire life without having a psychedelic experience. But then you could also go your entire life without a sexual experience.
These are both things that were meant to be explored. And neither is made readily accessible.

We were at an outdoor rave. I had about 2g of shrooms, not cubies but the other shitty sort? Well, these were apparently not shitty. After about fifteen minutes [I hadn’t eaten all day] I started to see things. This timeframe got me nervous, as did the feeling in my stomach, so I went ahead and puked up the contents of my stomach.
Which ended up being the best idea ever, because my gut just hurt for the next four hours, and so did “my head” in a manner of speaking. I was hallucinating madly, and I mean Mad as in Crazy. When things finally wore off I realized that I had actually been in a Crazy Headspace. Anyway it was pretty interesting, and I may try them again in a more sane, controlled environment, but at the rave “reality was just too real” and I just wanted to hide in my tent, even when I wasn’t feeling totally terrible.
And because it came on so strong so quickly, I was feeling terrible. Stomach, sure, but also brains were thinking overdrive and in weird directions. I could manage the directions, and even when I was seeing dead baby jesuses eating each other, I knew it was just tripping in my head, and tried to “see” other things. It was just really weird, and I was thinking too hard about it. “I’m too intelligent to have a good time, I think.” Eventually I did have a really really good time, but then I was getting really really really tired. So, I found my earplugs, and fell asleep.

I did it with a bunch of really close friends. I have only done it once, and i would do it again. I would probably change up the circle a little bit by simply reducing the number included. We ended up watching a lot of cartoons and a very funny friend of mine wouldn’t let go of his pen and paper as he made sure to keep a diary of everything said that evening.
One thing to be careful of is coming down. Advice given by an experienced tripper said clutching a carton of OJ, “Once the drugs start waring off, drink juice, Once you run out of juice, buy beer.”

I’m so incredibly glad i did this. It was…really hard to explain. Everything is amplified like a million fold. Colors bcome so saturated and intense and the hallucination element is amazing. Food tastes better and you’re totally immersed in this sense of well being and happiness and the beauty of everyhting. However, it is really easy to spiral into a bad trip so here are my “fucking awesome trip tips”...
1. eat them in a totally relaxed, stress free, pressure free environment
2. keep the conversation positive (don’t talk about the state of the world or anything too heavy/depressing)
3. drink orange juice!
4. being outside feels amazing. Also, if you get uncomfortable, scared, whatever….go outside. fresh air helps so much!
5. make sure you have plenty of time to adequately come down.
6. do them with a very small group for your first time, at least. too many people is scary your first time.
7. have so much fun… do everything (within the bounds of safety)
