I’ve got a step closer; I was motivated to create photo books for the children for the year 2007 seeing as they were 30% off until the end of April. I enjoyed making them, and I’ve also uploaded the rest of the photos for that year, so now I can organise them into a couple more photo books. Photo books are definitely the way forward, rather than having to deal with prints at the moment, although I’d like to choose some images to have printed and framed. It’s shown me that the job needn’t be too difficult, and I can organise the images a bit at a time and upload the photos as and when, rather than tackling an entire year at once; it’s easy to save it as a project and add to it when I’m ready. The finished books arrived at the weekend and look fantastic, the kids really enjoyed sitting down and looking at them, talking about what they had been doing.

Saph confused with what's happened to 43places!
I managed to move my photographs off the floor, and sort them out. I made several mistakes with the sorting (kept finding packets of photos and having to pull out photographs out of albums and put them back in, in chronological order…).
Now I have a least 2 – 3 years of digital photographs, and I am still taking more photos.
I think someone just needs to take the camera away!
We’ve got about 3 years worth of unprinted digital photographs stored on CDs and our hard drive – it’s about time I got them printed out and into albums where we can look at them. I’ve managed to go through last year’s pictures – big achievement – and I’m currently uploading them to a photo site, but it’s very very slow. Still, it’s a start.

digital prints to get printed. I am still trying however! Not.going.to.give.up!

Well I’ve moved them to another room but they’re still on the floor and I have a bunch of digital photographs to print as well. Seems I am doing everything else that’s not on my list instead of my photographs.
I have a plastic bag FULL of photographs. M and I are going to have to dedicate some nights to getting them all sorted out – because what’s the use of having them if you can’t even look through them when you feel like it?! I need to buy some albums.
And finally, I’m pretty much there. All the real dross weeded out and the rest uploaded to flickr. Just a few more of the more recent ones to go.
I’m using Picassa version 2 to manage some of my pictures. I also purchased an external hard drive to store my photos from last year.
I have thousands of photographs, both print and digital. Some good, many bad. I really should sort them out. Scan in the print ones, take back-ups of the digital ones. Ditch the ones that are truly awful.
I’ve finally created a flickr account. I’d like to upload an edited set to there, so perhaps that will spur me on…
