get a cancer ribbon tattoo in memory of loved one

about 6 years ago when I got with my husband, my mother in law had 3/4 of her lung removed because of lung cancer, then this past December (2008) she was told that she had brain cancer, as of right now she is still with us (but not sure for how much longer) my husband and I want to get a tattoo with the lung cancer (clear or Pearl) and the brain cancer (gray)ribbons before she passes away, but after she is gone we would like to get the light pink and black ribbon added in remembrance of her. does anyone have any ideas

My father passed away last year when I was 17 from lung cancer. I have been trying for a year now to find a perfect first tattoo to get in memory of him. I think a ribbon will be perfect!

My mom had passed away on dec 6,2008 from lung cancer.just 5 days before my daugther was born.I truly belive my daugther was a blessing she looks just like my mom.i want to get a cancer ribbon tattoo in her mermory but don’t know what color to get.hopefully one day i can find the right one for her.

My grandmother raised me like a mother since I was three years old (I’m 26 now). On March 30, 2008, she lost her fight with multiple myeloma. This week marked the first anniversary of her passing. I want to get a burgandy ribbon (the color for multiple myeloma) on my wrist, neck, or foot in her honor. I always carry her memory on the inside, now I will carry it on the outside as well.

I am wanting to get a cancer ribbon. In memory of my sister in law. She beat breast cancer in 2005, and then she ended up with cancer in her lungs and that is what took her life in 2008. The cancer had already spread through her body. She left 3 kids and a husband behind she was only 27 years old. We love you very much.

She survived breast cancer in 2000,but stomach cancer took her from us on November 17,2008.

my mother died of breast cancer when i was 7. i am planning to get a pink ribbon in memory of her.

my grandother passed in 2006..
we were very close.. she was my bestfriend..
I still cry everyday for her..
I think if i get something that will stay with me forever that we both wanted so much.. all she asked of me was to support cancer and not let anyone else go through it..
so in 2010 I will start college and major pre-med.. just for her..
I know what you other people are going through and I can understand how you hurt… I wish i could help you..

My father passed away when I was only six-years-old after losing his battle with Leukemia. I am now an 18-year-old woman and never want to forget my daddy. I want other people to be aware of this awful life-stealing disease as well. So, this fall/winter I will be getting a Green cancer awareness ribbon with my daddy’s death date inside the ribbon and “Forever Loved Daddy Forever Missed” in script under the ribbon. I know it is going to be painful and I know that I have a strong dislike of needles but I’m doing it for my dad. He suffered, now it’s my time to suffer for him.

My Pop-Pop passed away when I was ten of Lung cancer. Being so young this was my first loss, as well as the first time i heard of cancer. I promised myself and my grandfather (after he died) that i would never smoke cigarettes because of it. I am proud to say I have kept this promise.

I also promised myself I would never lose touch with my Mom-Mom (his wife). As soon as I could drive I went to visit my Mom-Mom as often as I could. My senior year of high school, my Mom-Mom passed away due to a brain tumor that they believe came from washing my Pop-Pop’s clothes years ago and being around him smoking for so long.

I have recently decided that I will get a ribbon tattoo..not sure where yet in honor of both my grandparents.
