take a vacation every year

This goal doesn’t need to be on my 43T list – and all of the places I’d most like to go could just as easily reside on my ‘someday goals’ list.

to see the Aurora Borealis one day soon, preferably in Canada.

Apparently my old camp in Georgian Bay, on stunning Beau Soleil Island, hosts a women’s only camp in May each year. From what I hear, it’s just a weekend, but there’s all kinds of soul-satisfying activities such as yoga, meditation, creativity and play workshops, and no doubt lots of girl-gab and laughter. I am SO planning to go next year. I can’t WAIT to see the camp again, and revisit my happy childhood memories of those exciting adventures.

I started doing this about 7 years ago. One of the best goals I have set. The vacation this year was a cruise on the Worlds largest cruise ship freedom of the seas

I wanna go camping / canoeing in Algonquin Park or somewhere equally remote, and I’d really like to spend a weekend in Niagara Falls so that I can visit Niagara-on-the-lake, the butterfly conservatory, and – (novel idea!) – THE FALLS!

Forgot to mention that next year I want to go to Ottawa for Winterlude and skate on the Rideau.

I guess technically I’ve done this. In ‘05 we went to Las Vegas, granted for our honeymoon, but I still count it as a vacation. In ‘06 we had our mini-vacation in Galveston, and I went to MO to visit my mom. I would count that. And this year, next month in fact, we’re going to Austin to finally visit my oldest friend. So I’m going to check this off, but put that I want to do it again. So I don’t forget! :)

This year we’re going to Florida, to see Universal Studios and Epcot. Next year, I’d like to go to Las Vegas. Then back to New York City. Then I’d like to take my Honey to Miami, to see his beloved Dolphins. Then I want to go back to Quebec City. If money wasn’t an issue, I’d also spend a whole summer in Europe. I’d also like one day to take a cruise. Ah, so much to see, so little time!
