go on a road trip through Colorado

...to find a bunch of folks who wanted to go with me! Now I’m camping with a group of my closest friends. But before that, we’re going to take the long route to Leadville and then drop into the southwest of the state. Hurray!

...are going to drive to Salida today. He’s in town and that means that I get to go neat places. This doesn’t count as a real roadtrip, by any strech of the imagination, but it’s gonna’ be neat. I’ve only been to Salida once, I think. Growing up in the mountains, I feel like I’ve been everywhere, but it’s usually just that each little town resembles one another (in a good way).

...is on this list so I can go back and get more of their delicious beer!

...hope that I can do this with Amber in the late Spring. It would be amazing to go camping in some beautiful parts of the state and snuggle and drink wine under the stars.

... Grover. I’d like to see the Rodeo there.

...Aspen. I’ve never really been there.

... Steamboat Springs. For the hell of it.

...are such destinations as Lamar (to see where my favourite art teacher was born) and Colorado Springs.

Oh yes, and Manitou Springs; because “sometimes the girls kiss the girls in Manitou Springs.” Hee hee!

...is Fruita, to see Mike the headless Chicken. Well, not to see him, per se, but to see his museum and statue.
