its very hard for me, I grew up in the internet age, so I dont know anything besides phone and internet communication…plus all of my friends are either not at a permanent residence or living within 20 minutes of me.
I do agree, though, that it is a very good idea.
Sunshine is homeschooling Toddler.
I write several people once a month.
Momma has no internet, no computer, no phone, no electricity. And anyways, she hates talking on the phone. If she would only write back as often …
Mary Ann has internet, has computer, etc. She just keeps changing her ISP. Plus she doesn’t go online all too often.
Susan is just a great friend that I’ll send her a card every couple months.
I just would like to do this more often. Maybe once a week. When I hit that mark for a couple months, I’ll count this is done!
Gemma is thinking about starting up her 43things again
When I moved house a few months ago I was going through my things and came across so many lovely letters and notes. From friends, ex-boyfriends, family. They kind of stop about 8 years or so ago … I think that’s where we all started emailing rather than writing.
How sad will it be in the future to have no love letters, no cheery letters from friends etc.
For my birthday a couple of years ago, my cousin sent me copies of all the letters I’d sent her in my teens. (We wrote to each other every week). She’s bound them in a folder that she’d made. It was like reading a diary of my teens … it was the best birthday present I’ve ever received.
So – I’m going to start writing to my friends and family.
