Also… I took advice from some of my… well, advisers… and deleted some 40 odd people from my Orkut friend’s list. The criteria was “people I’m not likely to be in touch with again”. Now, I’m not.

No hi5 account for me.

Finally, I did it.. And for some reason, it felt so good:) Maybe it’s because for a year, during most of 2005, hi5 was a big part of my life. While taking the time to email the friends I want to keep in touch with and copy and save the messages, journals, testimonials and comments that I don’t want to lose forever, I realized just how much time I used to give it- all the messages I wrote and replied to, the groups I was active in! This semester is going to be really busy, especially now that I’m double-majoring, and other than the blog, I really need to minimize the hours I spend online. This was a first step:)

I always say I will, then I’m like, “I might as well keep it there but stop using it often.” Hi5 was fun at first, but it’s been taking a lot of my time that I could be using to do more important and exciting things! Forums, friends, journals, messages, feeling guilty about not replying and not keeping in touch… It’s fun when it’s there, but I won’t be missing anything without it. I need to make that step once and for all- delete my hi5 account forever! I’ll keep in touch with the good friends through email, and put everything else behind… It’s about time!
