studiosoundPainting on 43 Things
I don’t quite make a painting twice a week, but I do paint very regularly these days. I’ve been trying to paint seriously for about five years now. I’ve learned the more I put myself in a successful situation, the more I succeed! I’ve sold over 30 paintings and I painted live to a band last night. I feel great about the whole thing.
Last night I painted to my friend Matthew Morton at the Gypsy Coffee House with Roger Jaeger and a few other crazy kids. I painted a rather large work on canvas with Acrylic to the brilliant musical flow that permeated the evening. I met some interesting new people that wanted to look at more of my paintings and I ended my night playing some accordion outside in the cool downtown Tulsa night air.
Later today I’m visiting a place called Club 209 tonight where I’m working on a live performance involving painting. It’s a great life so far and I’m continuing the push forward. With every painting I sell (like one I sold last week) I simply buy more supplies so I can keep it going! 4 years ago
