Weaving is definitely worth it! If you’re interested in trying it, you can buy simple student-grade looms for anywhere from $20 to $50, depending on the type of loom. That’s enough to give you a feel for it. (You can even find plans online to turn a larger picture frame into a very basic frame loom!)
I was blessed to be “forced” to take weaving in college, while working on my art degree. (Terrible, isn’t it?) I had to take a textile class, and the summer weaving class fit my schedule perfectly! I learned on big four harness loom, but now I want a small table loom I can play with until I have room for a big floor loom!
