own a bakery

About three years ago I began to pick up a passion for baking. Bringing treats into my classes on just a random Thursday here and there has brought so much joy into my life. In addition to this, I’m an avid tea drinker, and enjoy many craftier hobbies such as knitting and candle making. Thus the lifetime aspiration has come to me to own my own hole in the wall bakery someday. Not so much corporate, and not to make tons of money: simply to offer, as my title suggests, a home away from home for locals in my area. Selling homemade items such as hats and scarves, along with a wide selection of teas and delicious treats, I would ideally love to have a free wi-fi system for people to sit and work, and a homy area where local live music may come join us for an evening or two every week. Living, not to become super rich, in this lifestyle would bring me complete joy in my life. (:

This is the name of the bakery I want to open. It would be mostly dessert items but I do enjoy a nice soda bread and perhaps some other things. I’m also thinking it would have a drink counter and perhaps some candy or something. I want it to be like every kid’s dream. A yummy smelling place full of treats!

I’ve always loved baking. And I practically grew up inside of one. My grandmom worked at Orlando’s pasteries for so many years. Until the day she died. And I was raised in a family centered around food. The kitchen was where we all came together. And in the past few years since my grandmother died I’ve developed an ambition to start a bakery of my own, in her honor. Plus, I just simply have a love for baking! :]

We have recently opened a nice Novelty Bakery in Gaithersburg, MD. We have been opened for about 1 year and are having fun with it. The bakery website is: Novelty Birthday Cakes by Hot Breads

I’ve always dreamed of having my own little bakery.. maybe when I’m retired. I love baking and decorating things. I’m no business professional though, so I don’t know how that would transpire..but I know that it is definitely something I am interested in.
