Visit San Diego

I’ve been once. I want to go back again, visit, take it slow, go back to the Prado

I want to find a home base in the US. I want to live abroad, but in the long term I could see myself in the states. Criteria:
1) Warm weather – I’m sick of Philly winters.
2) Diversity
3) Able to move around without owning a car. A car is a miserable liability.

I’ve heard a lot about San Diego, and a good feeling about it. Its time to take a trip there and check it out, see if its all its cracked up to be.

Maybe someday I’ll go live there.

in Sd yesterday for a Toastmasters seminar

God, I really loved it there. Wonderful weather, smooth working road system, lots of places to eat and so so beautiful. I already want to go back. I hope I live there one day. Maybe I’ll get the chance when I’m done with school.

It feels so weird to be marking all these big goals of mine done. Realizing that I really go for my dreams and make them a reality is something that’s new to me. This trip was good to show me that I do live up to what I want of myself.

If you go here, definitely check out Old Town. It was probably the place I loved best of all the spots we went. Also, stay on hotel circle if you can. They’ve got some great and affordable hotels there and it’s a super central location. Those are my tips those of you wanting to go.

Wow, I can’t believe I put this goal on my list just 4 months ago!! When I want to make something happen, I really do it!! :D It’s just a week away now!! How crazy is that?! I’m getting super pumped!! :D

There’s so so much to do, so take it in pieces. I visited the zoo, walked around the USS Midway (just the outside), went to the beaches and played around in Carlsbad and La Jolla, where the seals were! I didn’t get to do a lot I wanted to, but hell, it was vacation in California…relax!

That’s right! I’m so beyond pumped. 10 days/9 nights in San Diego (and LA, too)!! I only hope California is ready for me. ;)

I leave on the 9th of November and get back early on the 19th! I’ve been working out a schedule for when we’re there on google calendar and everything!

It’s been fun now that we have stuff booked to plan out every detail that we can for the trip!! :D

Next weekend…LA for two days, San Diego for three…can’t wait!

So, best surprise ever when I get to work today. Want to know what it is??? I got the time off approved for my trip to San Diego!! Huzzah!! and stuff… Seriously, November 9th-18th is totally where it’s at, fools! I’m going to Disneyland! And Sea World! And freaking California, dude!!

Also, I realized I might be adding as much as $1k extra a month to my income… maybe even more!! Talk about having bank money when I roll down to San Diego. It’s going to be hotels and rental cars and shit all the way!!! I can’t wait!!

I got a 2nd job to have more money to have more options for this trip. My friend Lee, as in my best friend of all time who lives in Australia and I miss dearly Lee, might meet me in LA and then we’d drive down to SD together. This is the most exciting news for this trip yet!

With Lee, I’d KNOW I’d have an awesome time. And we’d be able to split costs on things like hotels, cars, gas, etc. It’d be good times!! I’m thinking this idea is the best yet!! I’d love to be able to have this much independence during the trip. It’s kinda silly, but I’d feel very adult staying at a hotel that I paid for and renting a car and stuff. I’ve never gone on a vacation that I paid for everything for on this scale. I’m REALLY excited about it.
