I love to read & used to be such a bookworm, but it has been taking me forever to finish anything these days (if I finish at all). I have so many good books that are remaining unread because of my lack of discipline in this area. I have really gotten out of the habit of reading a book continuously everyday so I am hoping that attempting this goal will help with that. A chapter a day sounds like a good, manageable place to start.
Currently, I am reading Marilyn Monroe: The Biography by Donald Spoto (a lengthy, well-researched tome) and have hesitated starting up anything else at the same time because of my bad reading habits. I also want to re-read Harry Potters 1 – 6 (so far I’ve only re-read 1 & 2) so I can go ahead and read book 7 (I still haven’t read it yet). Maybe if I can get on a schedule of reading everyday, I will feel more comfortable reading 2 books at a time and can start re-reading Prisoner of Azkaban. I do kind of like the variety of alternating non-fiction and fiction.
