I’ve worked in a restaurant for the past 5 years, and just last year we have been baking our own deserts there. I bake all the time, following the recipes, etc. But what I really want to learn is the scientific side of baking, as well as a more in depth knowledge of measuring ingredients, and how to improvise, and with what….
i know how to cook
however when it comes to baking, i cant do a thing, not even a cupcake, am clueless in reference to ingredients, necessary utensils,, etc
i would love to learn how to bake, maybe even do it as a side job :)

So far I’ve made cookies, coffee cake, scones, coconut lemon squares, and butter tarts. I’ve had good success so far :). This weekend, I will make the coffee cake again and I am going to try a lemon pound cake too.
