I should have learned when I lived in England instead of California but I had access to squash courts and some friends who were really good at it. It was fun but a hassle to book courts, etc.

How I did it: a good buddy who likes to revolve his business meetings around the court showed me all the angles and the rules and I just couldn't get my body to obey the spurts of jumping. Maybe my hamstring was torn from soccer.

Since a while ago I’ve knee problems, so I guess squash is one of the things I’ll have to give up in my life.
Today I played with A, and though I lost, the game has been cool :) I won a poit! :D It’s not much (compared to the other 4) but for me was great! In addition one game was very close, so with a little more it could have been 2-3 :)
Yesterday played with a friend, and enjoyed it because although I’m - still ;) - very bad at playing we finished in a tie.
Even if you are alone, you still can play Squash.. Oh, don’t worry about how to play, because it’s easier than you thought. Go with your willingness and the racket!!
I have found a sport apart from walking that I love. I knew nothing about this game and now I am even starting to learn some clever little tricks. Great to get out the aggression and I feel very empowered when playing.
It is a competitive, fun and very demanding sport – you have to be fit to play squash, not the other way around. It is a great cardio-vascular workout. 45 min hard and intensive game will expend about 700 calories, significantly greater amount than other sports, plus you don’t feel as tired as a gym workout because of the adrenaline and excitement which are involved in a competative sport.
I highly recommend trying it, at least.
Well my first session was excellent, over my first game I improved. I really enjoyed it and it was great to get the aggression out. Plan to go every Thursday from now on. I feel sore at the moment and I dread to think how I will feel tomorrow.
I have found a squash partner (well someone who is willing to teach me). This Thursday at 6.30pm. Apparently I am suppose to wear shorts and a single top as you get very sweaty and hot. Oh crap, It’s been a long time since my legs were naked!!! Will have to search out a longish pair of shorts this week.
