I love her lyrics, I really do. I just can’t get past the sound of her voice. It’s like nails on a chalkboard for me. The way she sounds (borderline senile) is completely incongruous with her beautiful way of writing. it kills me. Maybe if i force myself, and have a few drinks, i can appreciate her songs without getting annoyed. we’ll see.
How to listen to new music every week
How I did it: After making this one of my goals I started paying more attention to my listening habits and realized that I did it already. The easiest ways to find new music seem to be using iTunes Genius features and then playing around on Myspace just looking for new artists. Last.fm is also a really great resource to compare what you listen to against what is recomended for you.

Exactly what I needed on this miserable March day. I am so behind, but now I know who sings in that infectious Ipod commercial (their song, “Flathead”). This probably won’t be for me what the Arctic Monkeys were this time last year, but it’s still a good album.
Jason is a Night Auditor, who loves food.
I’ve done this for a while now, and I think this will just be part of me from now on. I really liked how when I consciously tried to listen to new music, that I discovered so many new bands.
Nice second album. Darker. The first song is all about the book “Less Than Zero” which I conveniently read in January. I don’t have a favorite song yet… once I burn the album and play it in my car I will have more to say. My car is integral to the listening process.
had a few songs, finally got around to downloading the rest. this goal is really helping me organize and complete my mp3 collection. anyway, i like this. kinda wish the vocals were a bit louder but i think the real culprit is my crappy laptop.
I really enjoyed listening to Lily Allen’s album. It was a breath of fresh air—she is real, witty, and raw. No one is safe from her biting wit (not even her grandmother!). Love it.
debating what I should download this week. maybe Lily Allen’s album. I’ve heard good things.
