June- Her date! 4 days ago

I took the Bloke for dinner to the local pub it was quite inpromptu since we hardly ever get rid of ALL kids and suddenly this night we did, BUT I was sooooo tired after doing a study group with three friends 11.30am till 5.30pm that I couldn’t be bothered going out, so we went for dinner and then home for a DVD.. not that kind of DVD either!!!

The next day I took the Bloke and young star son to the museum as the second part of the date but the exhibition we wanted to see.. the line was out the door.. “A day in Pompeii” so we’ll go back another time, instead we spent a lovely winter’s afternoon wandering around the gardens nearby and had a picnic lunch of fish n chips..

April's date night was FUUUUUUUUUNNNN!!!!!!! 2 months ago

we had a great night, I thought it might be a pay back for the Burlesque show, but in reality he had more fun than me, I chose that day to start coming down with a head cold, so I felt like shit.. he sang along to the songs and even got up and danced!!!

I’m still on the hunt for my “revenge” date… hmmm off to google now!!!!

Oh March's date night.... 2 months ago

    the dramas!!
I was so far out of my comfort Zone I don’t even know how I survived, and from this experiance my husband has since been BANNED for life from ever using Google.

He took me to a Burlesque show.. hmmm.. half naked women flaunting themselves… tassels twirling and fishnet stockings… ok, so it wasn’t all that bad but it really was out of my comfort zone.. but like he has since said, “It’s given us hours of interesting conversation and we never have to do it again!”

He did tick all the boxes in the “date night” list…..

but has he ever heard that “Revenge is a dish best served cold” and I’m on the hunt for something to now take him that far out of his comfort zone. He has been duely warned!

April's day night 3 months ago

is Mine and I’ve already booked the table and paid for it, we’re going to a local pub with my cousin and her partner to see “babba” an Abba cover group. I’m really looking forward to it, the man who I booked the tickets with said “All gone sorry” and he heard the disapointment in my voice so took my number in case of a cancellation… he called back later that night to say “I have five spare tickets do you still want four?”
    YES!!!! it’s on 4th April.

March Date night 3 months ago

is the Blokes, and he won’t even give me a hint but it’s tonight and when asked the dress Code he said “cocktail” which to him means dressy… so I’m getting prepared it’s tonight and we’re leaving in about 2.5 hours, so I guess i;ll come back tomorrow and report where he took me, all he’ll say is “both of us have not been there or experianced it” hmmm prefect for a Date Night.

September- we've had two date nights.. 9 months ago

Since one of us stuffed up the last month, and neither of us would admit which one of us stuffed up, so this month we did two,one was mine, one was his..
Mine:We went for dinner at the Golf Club in Portarlington and saw a live show called “the Rock Goddess” it was OK, the best bit was we stayed at our Van in St Leonards* and the courtesy bus came and picked us up and dropped us off so The Bloke could have a beer without worrying about driving.

His: was more low keyed, we have had friends from Florida over for his father’s funeral, and so we spent some time with them and another couple who have all been friends for 30 plus years! (almost as old as me!!) and so we all met up this past Sunday the other four all stayed in an apartment in the City and The Bloke and I went into meet them all and we walked down to the Casino for dinner, drinks and a few games, I personally have an issue about feeding machines hard earned money so we refrained from playing but were more than happy to watch those four loose all theirs :O)

So that’s September’s Date night/s done and dusted… he’s got OCTOBER and I know this for a fact because we each have the other’s birthday month… oh and it’s *MY birthday next month!

We’re going down to Philip Island for the MotoGP race that’s here, GO CASEY STONER!! Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi OI!!

June was my date night..... 12 months ago

So we went to a rock n roll dance, which was this past Saturday the 28th. It was the first one we were able to arrange locally.

We went to visit some friends in the afternoon and then we met some more friends at the local pub, altogether there were 13 of us on our table, after dinner we went to the dance held at a winery and we had the best time, dancing and enjoying the band one of our favorites called “The Blackhill Ramblers” We danced till the band stopped playing and eventually got back to J & J’s place (better than a B&B was her service even supplied chocolates on our pillows!!) at about 1.30 am.

    Great night out!

    Castlemaine was....... 13 months ago

Rainy and beautiful. Peaceful, we walked in the Botanical gardens in the rain and took photos f the ducks on the pond and the delicious yellow weeping willow trees, I can’t wait to get those ready for art class. We explored the little shops on the main streets and fossicked through the Restorer’s Barn full of delightful junk, (One man’s junk another man’s treasure) and for dinner we went to the Railway Pub with the eldest son who is living in Castlemaine. He has a market stall and has offered to sell my art for me…...now I wonder can I be good enough to set it free, I mean surely soon I’ll run out of wall space!

We had a lovely buffett breakfast at “The yellow House” and as I suspected it was called that because of Van Gogh living in Arles all those years ago. Definately a place to revist many tims over, infact there’s another place I could easily move to.
