I haven’t read the Good Book from cover to cover. But, I have read enough that I can refer to scripture when needed … it’s almost like the Holy Spirit takes over and gives me the right thing to say! Praise the Lord!
I did this about a year or two ago and in fact in reading it I found that I became less religious. I just couldn’t bring myself to agree with a lot of things that the Bible talked about. I suggest before reading the Bible and taking it all in word for word I highly recommended looking into other religions including Atheism or Agnosticism.
Been through a crisis of faith that has lasted for 1 1/2 years. I’ve had gone through the gamut of spiritual literature to keep me encouraged, but nothing beats The Book! I hope to complete the Bible by next April 2008! I’m starting with the Gospel of Luke. In addition, I have a friend in Christ that helps me as we read passages together.
is structured to read the Old Testament, New Testament, psalms and proverbs in 15 minutes a day, for 365 days in order to complete it in one year.
