when i graduated from college, i was handed an ice cream and coffee shop in a mall to run. business is sucky, but the experience is amazing. it’s not how i intended my coffee shop experience to go at all, but maybe it’s inspiring me for the future – preparing me for something bigger. who knows.
all i have to say is that it’s hard work and you have to want it to do it. otherwise you’re going to be miserable. like i was. but i’m not anymore. i’m just poor :)

This is kind of similar to my “owning a vineyard” fantasy. I love good coffee, and love to bake so thought a coffee shop would be a great match. Maybe it could be a coffee shop that sells wine. Or a coffee shop at the Vineyard…

My sister and I love books..AND coffee! So we thought…since I’ve always wanted to have a bookstore or a library, why not have both books AND coffee?!
Well, we’re still working on it…but who knows? Our dream might come true. MMMMMN…imagine having two of my most favorite things in one ‘house’!! ABSOLUTE HEAVEN! _ ...well, at least for me ;D

I would love to retire from my stressful job as a nurse manager and manage a coffee shop. I could use advice. I know I need a business plan and help and would like to buy an established business. Does anyone know how to buy a Starbucks?
