Thru hike the Appalachian Trail

I’m taking a few months this year to do a big section as “practice” and I hope to do a north-bound thru-hike in 2010 or 2011 depending on funds.

I found someone who knows how to take 4 months from the military and still stay in the military sooooo, I may not have to wait until I am a civilian… yay :)

I WILL at someday do this, I just have to wait til I get out of the military :(

Its my dream to hike the AT, it would be very hard but amazing at the same time. I thnk i’m ready to physically and mentally but how the hell do i take 8 months off from work?

i’ve always wanted to do it

Started this one last year. Didn’t managed to complete it. Did 425 miles and am going back to do another 650 more of the 2174.1 mile trail.

I would still like to complete it end-to-end in one go someday though
