Chinese!
I am an incoming freshman at NYU this year. There is this program called NYU Speaking Freely which offers free, non-credit language courses during the semester. I signed up for Speaking Freely classes in Spanish, Italian and German. I may need to drop one due to time constraints, but that still leaves a third and a fourth language.
Can’t imagine that SF will make me fluent in any of the languages, since it is just 10 one-and-a-quarter hour classes in a semester, but I can get a basic grasp of the languages, and, whichever language I like best, Ican go on to take further courses in.
meowzilla says give me no candy and i'll tell you no lies
i keep thinking of moreindividual goals, and so scrutinise my list for any hint of doubles… italian with dom it is :)
my finnish classes 3 weeks ago, and even if im so motivated and happy because i finally was able to take some classes i now realise that ill take so long time to be able to even have a conversation in this language or understand anything.
I know French and English, I want to learn a third one but I don’t know witch.
i hate france, so why I took french i don’t know..but i would like to learn the rest of the Spanish i dont know or start on German. -Au Revoir
I will start my Finnish classes. I am very much looking forward it as I´ve been wanting to do this for almost 2 years now. So at least I have a 100% of motivation and interest which I guess is important.
Ever since I learned English as my second language I have wanted to go for a third one. I always wanted to do German, French or Japanese, but it turns out that I am going for Italian next semester because I may study abroad in Italy.
