work in an orphanage

I am looking in The United States to work with children. I believe ever child needs attention and love. I have two wonderful children that I adore more than anything. I believe attention and love go along way for a better future, these children are our future and it is up to me (One of many to want to make a diference in someones life.) This is very important to me and I believe it to be my purpose in this life.

Hey, to anyone who is inspired or already working in an orphanage I would love to do the same. I feel it is something God wants me to do for a while. I am 19 and want to start helping in Mexico City, Mexico as soon as possible!!

...i want to volunteer or work for a long period of time in one… not sure where probably abroad, in some place like India or Eastern Europe… I think to be able to show these cast away children some love would be so fulfilling.

I have always been great with animals, children and plants even. I read this real off-the-wall book a while back hat said those who are naturally good with all sentient life are nine times outof ten vegetarian and that living beings be they children or animals can sence tbe difference between a non-violent vegetarian and a flesh eating person. I am not sure I buy all that but i am a vegetarian and great with beings so ill take that to my advantage. i have always been drawn to eastern relgions and until i went around South East asia and learned in depth about all the different types it was more than clear that Hinduism was the apple of my eye. I have read much on sadhus, the Bhagiva Gita and India, i would love nothing more than to be there helping others in any and every way i can.

I am contented with my work. but still something is missing.Like to spend weekends with some one who really need me. Tried finding one orphanage in MA but no luck yet :-(.

I’ve always had this dream of living and working with orphans in Asia, hopefully with other organizations trying to get them adopted internationally.

My heart aches for children, particularly babies, who may not be getting the love that they need to grow and thrive.

Where can you look for orphanages around the world that take in volunteers for certain amounts of time?

I’ve organized to do that this January, in Nepal! I’m very excited.

i’ve tried searching online but i haven’t been able to find any information about working at orphanage’s in the US.. does anyone know of maybe a website that lists all the orphanages so i can find one close enough to go to?
