i was SO excited to subscribe. i subscribed after learning of the current beta. it only took me 24 hours between beginning to consider subscribing and actually doing so! and i paid the $36 for a full year—very reasonable. it’s cool, but a bit strange, that you can pay for any number of months at a time—why in the world would anyone possibly desire an 11-month subscription? lol
sadly, i feel the main benefit is the fact that i AM a subscriber (subscriber blue ftw!).
i’m not particularly interested in my visitors, although i do visit them back, and in fact am ever-so-slightly creeped out by that feature, although i’m certainly not against it.
also, i was always impressed by the tastefulness and relative unobtrusiveness of ads on the site, although it is nice not to have to be exposed to them anymore. (if i could enjoy the ad-free feature on any site, i would choose myspace, hands down.)
i was mainly interested in beta for the benefits that will become public eventually, and they don’t work the way i want them to right now. i still log into Beta concurrently with live every day, but it will become much more useful and interesting to me when it’s live.
in short, i’m still not sure whether i will be renewing my subscription.
