Get my Doctorate in English Literature

This is taking longer than I expected. But, when my train finally pulls in at the station, I should feel I’ve done the best I ever wanted and have learned as much as I possibly could. I don’t want to shortchange myself here as I have with so many other parts of my education and my life, and even though I’ve already shortchanged myself enough here. This is my starting point for the turnaround.

Having an unexpected turn of events in my life has provided me with an opportunity. I am setting in motion the long series of events that will culminate in my obtaining a doctorate in English literature. It’s going to be a long road, and the destination is a far off, but at least I know where I’m going, and I have a map for how to get there.
