Ok, the three books I ordered arrived yesterday. So, Saturday or Sunday I will finally start reading and begin planning an itinerary of things to do.

How I did it: This trip took about two weeks to plan. It was my roomie and I, just road tripping from Fort Bragg to Key West. For the 1st Three days we camped. If you love camping I high suggest making a reservation at a camp ground. They have several to choose from, and it is right on the water. There is nothing more beautiful than waking up to blue water. They have tent sights and RV sights as well. Also, if you have a military ID, I would call ahead… Read how I did it…

Ok, I just found out I have 3 months before I have to buy airfare and am currently checkout bed and breakfast and other nice places to stay directly in Key West. I’m getting a book on Key WEst tomorrow night or atleast decided which book to order from Amazon and then purchasing it.

I’m looking into books tonight to start planning. I found on the Internet that January 31, 2010 is the Key West Half Marathon. So, I am going to try being on vacation during that time to run, really see the town and enjoy it!
Wow, what a cool place. Please use sunscreen, though. I had a bad sunburn because I didn’t.
Stayed at the Palms Hotel. It was okay. Not super-nice, but okay. Wouldn’t mind staying there again.
I discovered I love Cuban food there. We went to a place the locals go called El Siboney. Good prices, decent service, but great food. Had the mahi-mahi. Awesome. I’m also craving fried plantains now.

Go to St Augustine instead. Much nicer, don’t have to deal with Miami. We stopped at this beachside area and there were no doors on the restrooms. Nasty seaweed was everywhere. No place to park. Not worth the trip.
to find yourself, meditate, eat, drink, and forget your real life. Go to Mallory Square to watch the sunset and observe people living their dreams. The motto of the Conch Republic is “live and let live.” In Key West, you can be who you want to be and don’t worry about what anybody thinks. I could definitely waste away in this Margaritaville.
Because I got a job! This should make paying off the bills and saving up for a nice holiday MUCH easier. It’ll still take time, but at least it’s out there now – I feel like it’s not a “maybe someday we’ll go back” but “how much of my check shall I set aside for Fantasy Fest?”
I am going to start getting commissions at work soon, and all indications are that it is going to go well (I’m not even supposed to sell yet, but I’ve managed to talk people into many boxes of cookies and a couple of cookbooks). The nice thing is, in order to do well, I have to help people lose weight and get healthy. So they’ll get healthier, and I’ll get healthier too, and in the meantime I’ll eventually make enough money to show off my hot new bod in Key West!
I told my husband I’d wear nothing but body paint at Fantasy Fest if I got to my goal weight. You KNOW he’s going to hold me to that one!
