How I did it: I braided my hair, and let them stay in for a year, but I get bored easily, so I took them out for no apparent reason. I kind of miss them, but I can always get more. Read how I did it…

My dreads were born by the backcombing method done by a loctician in Houston, Tx. I left the sanity of my woodland nest to go to the city to have this done, what irony, but it was a gift from a loved one. The locs are 4 days old today. Not as tight as they were at first. Loosening up a bit. But very cool. They were made originally with bees wax which contains petroleum and that is not working for my caucasion hair. So I am planning on trying to get the bees wax out and lock it up with some sea salt spray until I can get some dreadhead products or something similar. I am quite pleased with my dreads overall. They are somewhat empowering in a mellow kind of way. They are very earthy and real and genuine. They make me feel like an animal or a wood nymph. I love my locs! My glorious hair! They have changed a good deal every day in the last four days…what a journey I am on! I love it!
A way of life, A journey that defines who you really are, patience and wisdom, in due time all will be well, my journey, my goals, I strive to achive all that lies in my path. I grow dreads to remind me to overstand everything to trys to tear me down, The journey does not happen overnight, Dreads do not grow overnight, accept the good embrace the bad,and keep ur head up, listern to these werds of wisdom.
