do things on time

Today, I wrote to Charles and sent the letter.

Tonight, I called the landlord for different things (bath, balcony, etc.).
On dinner time, I went to the library, gave back the 2 DVDs and paid the levy (amende). I also took the book that I reserved.

that i will do. I promise!

Friday is my Momma’s 60th birthday…i bought her gift earlier this week (like a good girl) Now all i have to do is wrap it up! We’ll all be in WV this weekend….so i’ve decided to just wait until Sunday when we get home to give it to her…so i don’t have to lug it all the way down and then she has to lug it back. (its a big box) Although i did buy matching pretty spring pajama sets for her and her twin…that i’ll bring with….so they can be matchy matchy. :)

I’d like to:
-pay bills on time and not let them sit there
-keep up with laundry instead of letting it go for days
-keep up with the dishes instead of letting them pile up
-do things when they need to be done (inspection stickers, paperwork, etc) rather than days, weeks, months leter

so in 2007 i had my good days and i had my bad. :(
But 2008 will be different!!! :) With January comes my boyfriend’s and my Dad’s birthdays and I have already starting looking around for presents! I have a few ideas on what to get my boyfriend, but my Dad’s gift might take a little longer. So with the first paycheck of the year i’m heading out shopping and getting things done! I’ll also gather the family together to decide on what we’re going to do for Dad’s birthday.

Baby steps…..I know i can do this….i can say goodbye to procrastination forever if I just take it slow….

I’m half assing things left and right! Here i was doing so well (well half way there anyway) as you can see from the entry before this one….
But anyway….Dad’s Birthday is the 31st of january and i already have his gift, but then i was supposed to make a gift for my friend Mandy to give to her on this past Saturday and i knew about it for about a month (maybe more….) and did i do it???? Nope! Kept putting it off and then i didn’t want to just “throw” something together at the last minute…but we procrastinated and shall make the gifts and exchange on Valentines Day instead!

So i haven’t made a doctor’s appointment yet…i will, someday.
But i have finished my Christmas shopping as of yesterday! Yay me! I’m usually running around the day before Christmas Eve and a couple years even ON Christmas Eve! But now i’m done! :)
And my dad’s 60th Birthday is January 31st and i already know what i want to buy for him (just haven’t bought it yet) and i’m in the midst of planning something for the big day.
I’m even trying to plan a fabulous gift for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary which is on February 23rd. So i called my brother the other day to get him in on it and i told him that i know procrastination runs in the family and through my veins but i’m trying to put an end to it. He tells me to just embrace it, cuz it will never change. :(
All i can say is…..I’m Trying
