go on a road trip with no predetermined destination

A friend of mine is supposed to be coming to visit in December, and rather than sit around my house we’ve had the idea to just drive somewhere.

From here in the midlands in the UK it should really be possible to get to a huge number of places in the 3-5 days we’ll have.

I’d like to go to at least one place out of the country, even if it’s just France or Ireland for a while, but we’ll see where the roads take us. :D

I think if I just buy a map, my boyfriend and I can get in the car and just start driving west.

This is something all free spirits want to do, as one myself I would; but all that CO2! Carbon footprint would be MASSIVE! Maybe on a bike? :)

Oh my goodness. This website has officialy changed my life. It is like I need to see that other people want to do something before I realize I want to do it too.

I dont know where I am going and I dont care when I get back. it represents total freedom. I want to get a van and a best friend and maybe a dog and sell poetry to get gas and food money and just drive untill I get to an ocean. Then swim?

Hope my first check will get me somewhere :)

I have to wait 1 year til I get my license! I already have my mums old car!

I’ve always wanted to grab a bunch of friends and drive across the state and the midwestern states.

Maybe this spring break.

The winter has arrived here. I have shared this idea of running away from home with a friend. I am not sure how to implement this. I have the time I can take off from work. I need the funds to do it. I suppose I need to make a list of things I need to do before I can just pick up and leave.

I like this idea because it seemed like something that I didn’t have to over think or organize. I am so tired of organizing every detail of my life. This seems like a nice break.

This is one of the many things i can do to be free. I would bring a friend or two though, sometimes strangers don’t feel like talking to someone like me.. anyway, it would be nice for my buddy to sarcastically say “sometimes i wish i could just leave here for a little while..” And after some serious persuasion, we would have enough stuff to get us along for a few days in the trunk, driving off into the sunset. (that’s kinda a dramatization, but i can dream, can’t i?)

I hope i can do that soon! maybe after i get my liscense? ...and save some money for all the stuff we’ll want to do when we get wherever were going.

This is probably the first thing I will do once I get my license. It’s never about being lost, it’s about discovering a new place.
