Since I have been dating, I have managed to do quite a bit more in my hometown, including visiting nearby areas that I’ve never even seen. I’ve been to a number of restaurants and even roads that I have never seen before. It really helped me on this to start dating, as that opened a variety of areas to me.

There is so much to do here. Local city websites (and their event calendars) make it easy to keep going with this goal. We are constantly finding new places to explore, and hope we never stop.
Now that I’ve come out, I’ve had more opportunities to see more of our town as I have been trying to get out and meet people.
I’ve gone downtown a few times now to a local gay club, and I’ve planned a few get togethers with friends and strangers in areas of the town that I’ve never really had a chance to visit.
My next step will be to take a day, perhaps, and just learn our downtown grid and the layout, get comfortable driving around down there, and learning to do it over and over again.
We went downtown and had dinner… then walked around and found the Providence Roller derby in the convention center. It was a good time.. Lots of chicks getting thrown on the ground.
After that, we walked to the water fire and strolled around for a bit, and then back to the car to come home.
It was nice being in the capital hangin out.
I’ve managed to come out of my shell a bit and wander the town that I grew up in. I’ve gone downtown a few times and drove to places that I normally would have avoided.
While I’m a ways from really getting funky, I think that I’m well on my way.
I’ve lived in Utah for my entire young life and yet I’ve not really travelled the area to meet the people and see the sites. I think that I’ve gotten into a specific set of routes and places that I visit that I haven’t felt comfortable going elsewhere. I need to do that.
My best friend and I went to a bar downtown that we have been wanting to try. It was okay… small, not too crowded at all since it was a weekday.
We’ve decided to start trying all the different bars we see, even if it is only one or two drinks just to check them out.
Good times ahead.
Me and my best friend went to a Roller Durby competition Downtown this weekend. It was awesome. Loved seeing those women knocking eacother down. Good Time Good Times!
