I’m so proud of myself! Saturday, September 24th – My 44th birthday! I strapped myself in to the harnesses, climbed up the 4 flights of stairs – was checked and re-checked. My heart was pumping! 2 lines – 2 women at a time. 2 go, then 2 more…. then someone from the back of the line asks me “Do you have a partner to zip with?” No, we should go together.

We climbed up onto the steps to be attached to the line. Checked and rechecked again. Oh, my heart! I looked down. Please Lord, let me do this. The girl running the line asked me if I’d like to sit in the harness to get a feel for what it was going to be like. Not too bad.

Then we yelled “READY TO ZIP!” They waved the flags that they were ready for us…. oh, can I do this?

I did! It was exhilarating! That feeling of flying through the woods. wind in my face, seeing the ground fly below me. This is what it’s like to fly!

I liked it so much – I climbed those stairs again! Wow! I may be hooked. :o) 20 months ago

We went with a group out into the mountains and they had us start with the shorter ziplines, from one hillside to another, then hike up higher. It was not difficult, and the guides were very good explaining it to us.
We probably did about 15 lines, each time longer and higher, until the last one which was a good 2000 foot run, about 3000 feet over the valley – it was amazing. Do it!! 21 months ago
