    Initiative 3 months ago

After Africa, this seems like the thing I have to do. Saying no only makes one miss out on things. Silke said today: Give it a chance. That’s how it is. Better to try something new than always do the same and get no inputs. It’s so hard, but maybe, maybe I can do it.
Showing initiative is a value. DO SOMETHING NEW. See new possibilities.

Still having trouble with that one girl.
Otherwise almost all invitations are accepted – it’s almost too easy now that school is over and I have no homework or assignments, just work.
I feel like I see more people than ever before … people are the only thing that matters.

Crashing at Ras's 20 months ago

A very productive goal, though I don’t always keep it in mind.
This Saturday, I accepted crashing my ex’s apartment with two of his friends whom I had only really talked to that very night. So easy to just do it.. a very nice experience.

Christmas shopping with Stine 23 months ago

Last week, I went Christmas shopping with a girl I’ve been admiring from afar. For three hours we talked and talked. Until then we’d only had talks in the bus – granted, those trips lasted half an hour each – and a few minutes at school, but this was so spontaneous, and yet I felt completely safe. I took time off for her – usually I’d have worried about school assignments.. She’s special.

I can think of one invitation I didn’t accept during the last few months – one to meet with an old school friend of mine. I guess I should have – but once I’m with her I’m always trying to find a way to worm out..

sabryn okay...how about a calm December?

Maybe not *always* 2 years ago

But really close to always. If I’ve turned down an unexpected invitation in recent months, it’s been because I had a prior commitment.

Two places at once... 3 years ago

Doing this resulted in me eating dinner twice on Saturday… The second was a barbecue, so I only picked, but still, how greedy!

A long weekend 3 years ago

Katie has asked if I want to go away for a long weekend in June. I thought about the facts: I have no holiday left until the end of December; and I need to get a new boiler, so I have no money.

I said: ‘Yes. Let’s see what I can work out.’

    Walking 3 years ago

Did it again, and ended up going with a near stranger to Ashdown Forest to see the full moon. Heard some cool stories, and learnt a lot.

Two at the weekend 3 years ago

A friend rang on Sunday and said did I want to do something this evening. I said yes and invited her round to dinner. She brought homemade icecream with her.

Another friend appeared on Friday during the day. I asked him what he was doing that night—nothing as it turned out, so we rounded up another friend and went for dinner.
