Well, at least a new one, I mean.
For 2009 it might mean Iceland, we’ll see!
made this life goal about 4 years ago and so far so good
2005 – thailand, england, germany
2006 – fiji
2007 – peru, bolivia, chile, argentina
2008 – brazil, australia
2009 definately includes canada but maybe something else on the cards – am moving to Aus so might just get around Aus cause planning a massive africa and europe tour in two years time
I used to travel quite a bit – have been to Aruba, Bali, Switzerland. but lately have been to busy with work and would love to visit some new places – maybe Mexico or Jamaica next. ArubaBali
I got my passport in 2003, and I have been using it at least 3 times a year.
So far I have gotten away to:
England, France, Italy, Vatican City, Panama and Jamaica
In two months I am moving to Suriname, and that should afford me the opportunity to see Guyana, French Guiana, Brazil and much more of South America… At least for the next two years.
Didn’t get the opportunity unfortunately and so that’s it, the record is broken.
In any case, I don’t think it’s the type of goal that makes my life more meaningful… for instance, if I go to a new place when I get the chance, I have new experiences and that’s interesting, but as I’ve learned during 2005, when you take the opportunity to go BACK to places you’ve already been and build on friendships or experiences, the trip actually adds something to life rather than somewhere that you can simply mention having been to. That’s about all it’s good for…
I’m happy with the travelling I did in 2005, even though I didn’t make it to any “countries” that I hadn’t been to before.
ok, this might be a tad unrealistic, but it’s fun to dream…(I need a job that requires travel)
Already November is almost over and then all that’s left is December, and I haven’t been to a new country yet!
It will have to be Latvia because it’s the closest and probably the cheapest to visit. And I think they can put me up in the Branch near Riga so that would be cool.
I’ll try to plan a weekend there in December sometime…
Romania seems to have been cancelled… not too convenient both for me and Christina.
But the assembly is in Tartu in October… maybe I can hop over to Latvia on the Monday… ?
Time is running out before the end of this year!
It might actually happen this year… compliments of Dad…
He’s asked me and Christina to go to Romania for a month as CIE representatives to check out the Universities! All expenses paid baby!
Actually, it was our idea to go there, only we were thinking next summer because we would have been funding it. But with an offer like this, we’ll gladly go whenever he would like us to!
Maybe in November…
