"I am so glad the application process is over."

How I did it: After the stress of applying to colleges, I was so excited that I never had to deal with standardized testing/people scrutinizing my grades/convincing even MORE schools that they wanted to let me study there... and then I decided to go to law school.

But, it really isn't that bad, especially if you are still in undergrad because your university probably has a lot of resources on campus to help you keep everything straight!

Lessons & tips: Take the LSAT early.  Relax.  And unless you were sick or have another real reason for not doing as well as you thought you might have, don't stress about taking it again..

Get your applications in early!  I had mine in by Thanksgiving for the most part.  When you are hearing back in January before other people have even found out, you will be thankful.

Talk to people in the legal profession, work at a law firm one summer, do something to make sure that's what you want to do and to show your commitment to the profession on your resume.  (I didn't do this since I decided to go to law school relatively late in my undergrad career... but I wish I had!)

Just write your personal statement now.  Like right now.  Close this window and open up whatever text editing software you use and WRITE IT because that will be what keeps you from sending the applications in early!

    I printed my admissions ticket today! Ahhh… I’m nervous, and I don’t want to tell everybdoy about taking the test. What if I do very poorly? The logic games are definitely not my forte. That is probably going to be the only truly difficult part of the test for me. I did some practice ones today and did ok… but the more complex games are giving me trouble. I know that means I need to try and do more of them, but I hate doing them.

    Anyway, I also went to talk to the pre-law advisor today. He told me that as long as I get around 150, I’m bound to get accepted to a few of the schools I’m applying to. However, I really want to get into UT, and for that I need around 160 to be competitive. Hopefully I can do better than that, but I’m going to need to focus and work harder on preparing for the LSAT.

    Getting started... 1 week ago

    I’m going to be graduating in May (hopefully!) or in August at the latest. I’m signed up for the LSAT, but I do not feel, in any way, shape, or form ready for the test, which is in just a few weeks.

    I have already prepared a binder with my ten schools information and applications. I’m just waiting to get the LSAT over with before I fill them out.

    I’ve been thinking of law school for years. I took the LSAT and did horribly (as at that time I was still ‘trying on’ law school to see if it would fit). It has always been on my mind and I can’t stop thinking if this really is my calling…

    I currently am signed up to re-take the LSAT on Septemeber 26th and I have to be honest, I am trilled but scared shitless at the same time.
