smile at a stranger in the street and have them smile back

i do this all the time! i just feel…depressed if i don’t have people smile at me.

when one of my sons was much younger, we used to play a game called collecting smiles. We’d smile at strangers, and if they made eye contact and smiled back, you got one point. My then-4 year old was fabulous at this! Finally he got to the point where he’d even walk up to people and smile and say “Could I have a smile from you?” Few could resist. You can guess who got the most points at that game.
