Get a scooter

I have wanted a scooter ever since I moved to Arizona…little did I know it’s not that easy. Found out I was too short to fit on the one I wanted ugh…and that I needed to get a motorcycle license for anyting over a 50cc. Now, I dig chicks on Harleys and find that empowering, but I’d rather be the cute bitch on the back with my man. Rawr. :D So, well it would be cool to be a motorcycle chick nonethelsess, but, since I moved out of Steve’s place and am currantly homeless I have to use the money I saved for my scoot for living purposes as I live now at the hotel where I work. :( I’m going to find a place close to the hotel and save for a 50cc scoot. That’s the plan for now *shrug…

• Get a motorcycle permit:
  

  With a motorcycle permit you are prohibited from operating a motorcycle on freeways or interstate highways, or between sunset and sunrise, or at any time when there is not enough light to clearly see persons or vehicles at a distance of 500 feet. The motorcycle instruction permit is valid for 6 months and can be renewed one time within a 24-month period.

It’s only 49cc, so it doesn’t go very fast, but it’s SO fun to tool around on. Now I want a bigger one!

if my disability comes through, I’d like to get a scooter to use instead of my big old taurus. living in tucson, I can use a scooter most of the year. monsoons will be a challenge, though.

I actually never had a scooter but my significant other did and she almost lost her life. A pickup truck pulled in front of her. It seems in the U.S., people are not respectful of people on scooters, bicycles, motorcycles. And the roads are not scooter friendly. If you get a scooter… please, please, please be careful and even if you are, you have to watch out for the other guy.

My s/o is still recovering from her 2 neck surgeries but she is alive and not paralyzed… for that I am thankful.

Aww wish i had the money to get a scooter. Need to get a part time job and start saving my pennies then hopefully i can get 1 soonish.

Well I’ve learnt very recently that as much as I love scooters, for my situation at the moment, a car is a MUCH better option. So that’s what I’m going to do instead. Should that situation change, I still wouldn’t mind one…

My whole interest in scooters came from my ex-boyfriend who is a Vespa freak. It would have been a lot of fun if the two of us could tour around on scooters. To be honest, most of my interest in this mode of transit came from my desire to connect with him. We broke up quite a while ago and I no longer care about this goal.
