We haven’t hosted any couchsurfers this summer – were away a lot, or busy with studies. A nice couch, dinner together and info on the city is the most we can offer right now – and it doesn’t seem to suffice. I’d feel guilty of not being true to the real couchsurfing spirit, of merely offering something like a hostel. I’ll therefore “freeze” this goal for a while – until the end of 2008 or until we’ve moved to a bigger flat? On the other hand, Neukoelln is considered hip right now, so people might appreciate finding hosts here. Hmm.

quite a few ones during the last two years. So, it’s nice, but a bit frustrating. You don’t really get to know people (or maybe I don’t take the time and make myself free enough to really meet them).
I feel like meeting people, getting to know them. I’m not sure you can do that when you only welcome someone for one or two days, going own with your own life during that time.
I’ll go on with this, but not as a goal. I’ll welcome them when they send me a nice e-mail and I feel they are nice people I want to meet. Not people I just want to help.
with spring. Eric was here last week. Tired he was. He slept a lot, made me feel a bit guilty not to have more time to spend with him, but didn’t really want to go out in the evenings, on the other hand… Had a lot to say about global warming. A bit too much, in fact.
Oh well. Let’s see what will bring the next one.

I used to host a lot more couchsurfers when I lived downtown. (Friends, bands, intoxicated-overnighters, etc…) Now I’ve moved to the sticks (1/2 hr outside town) and I’ve two extra bedrooms and a couch but no-one comes.
I shall welcome all that pass my way!
was home last night. Being a buddhist, he explained me how to meditate. Yep !
He was really kind, thoughtful, took time with me to wander in Valparaiso (a great city indeed). Since he’s leaving to Brasil in a few days, he was staying (and so did I) at his grandmother’s, who called me “hijita” (little girl), “mi amor” and prepared me tremendous breakfasts !
Going to Ivan’s, in Valparaiso, in two days. Can’t wait, he looks really nice, he even wants to come and get me at the bus station to take me home.
left this morning. I really enjoyed having him at home, and I’ve learnt a bit about weird stuff taïwanese people eat for dessert…
two weeks ago. It was nice (he prepared me a great meal), but I didn’t have many time to spend with him.
She’d been home for two days. She’s Russian and studies in Sweden.
We went to the Eiffel tower 2nd floor last night, and it was great ! One of the things you never do unless you’ve got a tourist to bring up there !
