eddievonteese I wish I had more vacation, but 2 months is more than most get...
I’ve made a few puppets for various projects, one being a short film that I created, and latest was two versions of Audrey 2 for my high school’s drama department play. The kids loved it, one had a false arm wrapped around the pot so the actor could carry it while maneuvering it. I wish that I had pictures… It looked just like the movie version!
Mmm. Pride.
Puppets are great.

I used to make puppets for my friends as gifts. Then again, I used to make people talk to my puppets all the time.
I get bored easily.
See a fun puppet show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfuPm43mzx8

I am actually quite new to the world of puppets. My school just put on Little Shop of Horrors, and the lady we got the puppets from made all the puppets herself. She’s made a bunch of other puppets, has a troupe of puppeteers making puppet videos that are ready for distribution to her puppet-crazed oil baron yet to be found.
I went to a seminar of hers she was holding at the high school and I was immediately hooked. I think I scared the hell out of my family by telling them I wanted to take classes in puppet arts in college, but I really am serious.

I have always been fascinated with the marionettes or puppets, especially the big ones-very humanlike. Like those Czech marionettes made with real wood. They are a complete work of art. Someday I will make one.
