    So this consists of cleaning my floors, my bed, buffing all the scratches out of the wood in my room, cleaning the windows, de-cluttering some more, ect. ect. I have a list of everything I need to do to cross off this goal from my to-do list and from 43.

    I have already set aside a few days this upcoming week to do so and then I am going to attempt to do so in the rest of the house (without my Mum noticing that I am throwing away or donating half of her crap. (She’s a major pack rat and won’t let anyone get rid of anything.)

    But right now, it’s just my room.

    So, my goal was to do this before I resumed classes, and 3 years ago

    I’ve resumed classes. Between classes, work, internship and looking for a new part-time job, I want to leave the rest of my down time free and undesignated and open, for example, for sleep. So this is moving from a more serious goal-with-deadline-and-action-plan, to goal-to-do-when-I-have-time-and-energy. I don’t want to feel badly about not having gotten it done, and I’d rather free up space 43 for something more interesting.

    I've unpacked both of my fans 3 years ago

    and that’s about it. It has been too gruesomely hot to putter around. I now have a headache. Maybe once it cools down – maybe with a cool bath or shower – I’ll feel up to cleaning tonight.

    I’m not even in classes now and still pulling all-nighters!

    Yikes! 3 years ago

    Okay, maybe it’s not so bad. It’s in that mid-cleaning, got distracted for a few weeks disarray that looks overwhelming, but is totally workable once you just get down to it. Thing is, I prefer actual cleaning of the rest of the house to the sorting and organizing of my personal items (love doing it in the kitchen, bath, etc., so those never get really bad, and that’s where I’ve been concentrating my energies.)

    The positives: I have taken a good load of cd’s in to sell already, some clothes into consignment, and gone through some paperwork (this is what I is most out of control). So what I want to do – this week-end, because I start classes again on Tuesday! – is:

    finish with my clothes (packing up winter, pulling out & laundering summer, and fixing the handbag and belt hooks that keep falling down in my closet)

    finish up sorting, organizing & storing the last couple of half-empty knock-knack boxes that have been lingering about my room since I moved in 6 months ago :{

    get my crawl space nice and neatly packed away again

    get out my big fan (it’s getting hot already)

    vacuum under my bed (long-haired cat + spring = shedding, and hairballs (which are typically evacuated in the bed area, meaning underneath the bed where I can hardly reach, next to the bed where I step out onto the floor in the morning, or most recently, nicely centered on top of the freshly made bed itself)
